Each of the cases and the commentary cite searches of persons under arrest, not stopped for a traffic infraction and most certainly not for handing over your phone for proof of insurance (I keep mine in a Kindle app no cell service needed). If you have a separate password for your email and/or texts - don't know if you can- you'd be fine.

I'm all for not making things easy for dick law enforcement officers. But what happens if you don't have cell service, or the battery dies on your phone or some other reason you can't pull it up? While paper does seem old-fashioned, it does have many advantages over digital...

Yes. When 90% of traffic from a country or other IP block is malicious it makes more sense to cut out the entire population than to carefully identify the tiny nonmalicious minority.

When you mean "never edit iptables directly", what do you mean? Isn't the iptables command line tool the direct way of editing your netfilter rules? And the iptables command that I know has always been quite happy to let me do 'iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 22 -j DROP' (which would drop my ssh connection to the computer), allowing me plenty of rope to hang myself with.

Basicly as I see and understand it right now in California you can grow and possess as much marijuana as you can prove is for personal use, if you ever had to go to court. I am a medical patient here in California and I have a weekly amount designated with my doctor particularly for my protection if I ever had to defend myself in what would be rare instance of a marijuana case actually making it to court. Ive known or heard of quite a few people over the last few years that have gotten raided, mostly medium sized gardens 20-60 plants (outdoors) and although the medicine has gotten confiscated none of these medium growers have actually been prosecuted to my knowledge. I grow indoors year around and 10 plants outdoors for myself, Im not getting into amounts but its enough for myself for the year so I dont have to buy it from dispensaries, where typically quality herb is quite expensive, although occassionally I do buy some just to try different strains out to see what I like the best. So in the end as long as your completely going overboard you really have nothing to worry about as far as law enforcement goes, obviously selling it to random people will get you into trouble but depending on the quality there are tons of clubs out there that are more than willing to carry or buy your medicine. Happy Growing everybody, couple months till all outdoor is done, cant wait, Peace!
