A mysterious Indian swami told me I have very military hands and two children, that money was not important to me and I would not die by violence.  I’m a Scottish-Irish-Cherokee-American Zen Buddhist.  Not sure if I’m a liberal conservative or a conservative liberal.  I wear a kilt on New Year’s.  My wife loves it for the same reason guys like skirts.

I was an army brat, raised on multiple continents. I spoke German at the age of 6. I speak Spanish more like a Panamanian than a Mexican. I spent 9 years in the Air Force, the highlights for me were being a SERE survival instructor in the mountains of Colorado and working with little green men at the Air Intelligence Agency.

I have a new appreciation for how incredibly tentative our existence as a civilization is.

I love my iPhone.

A vivid, incredibly frustrating memory from childhood… On the 50th anniversary of Astronaut Alan Shepard hitting a golf ball on the moon for “miles and miles” with a Spaulding brand 6 iron – Spaulding did nothing! Wasted market opportunities irk me.

My religion is mobile. I lead several mobile technology teams, developing iPhone/Android apps for some of the leading brands on the planet.

I have started and sold several tech companies. Chances are I’m probably working on one or with one as you read this. Tech companies change the world, for the better in the case of startups.
